Building Materials Donations
UV Habitat is not able to accept donations of building materials or appliances directly because we do not have a place to store them. Fortunately, Vermont Salvage accepts donations on our behalf. Please contact Jesse at (802) 295-7616 or email him photos of your donation items at firstname.lastname@example.org. Once Vermont Salvage receives your donation, Habitat will send you a tax receipt and once the items sell, Habitat will receive a portion of the proceeds.
If Vermont Salvage cannot accept your donated items, please contact ReCover at (802) 296-7241 or Listen Furniture Store at (802) 280-4133 (both located in White River Junction).
In-kind donations of time and services are always appreciated. We hire out for specialty projects, like plumbing and electrical work, so if you have services or skills you would like to share with us and our partner families, please let us know!
House and Land Donations
A significant cost of building a Habitat home is securing land or a house to refurbish. We welcome donations in the form of land or houses in the Upper Valley area of New Hampshire and Vermont to help reduce our cost to homeowners. We embrace renovating a house that has good structural integrity or may otherwise be demolished.
